# Level > Level (levelrepair.com) is a home repair marketplace for New York City and the tri-state area. A homeowner or renter snaps a photo of the problem, sees a fair upfront price, and books a licensed, rated pro. No haggling. Pros pay no lead fees and are paid when the customer approves the finished job. Tagline: "Know the price before they knock." Status: early access. Level is launching across New York City and the tri-state area; people and pros can join the early list at https://levelrepair.com/#join. Last updated: October 2026. ## What Level does - Upfront price from a photo: describe or photograph the problem and see a price before anyone comes to the door. - Same price for everyone: the price is set by the job, not by who is asking. - Pay in the app: the customer pays at booking, the money is held by a payment partner, and it goes to the pro when the customer walks the job and taps Approve. - Photo proof: pros finish each job with a photo checklist. If the customer reports a specific problem with a photo, the payment stays on hold and the dispute is settled within 24 hours. - Changes need approval: if the pro finds more work, they send a change request with photos and a price. Nothing extra is charged unless the customer approves it. - Reviews go both ways: customers rate pros and pros rate customers, revealed at the same time. - Level Comps (Beta): like real-estate comps, for home repairs. Shows what people nearby actually paid for a similar job, by ZIP code, within about two miles, by borough or county, or across NYC. No names or addresses are shown. - Renters: Level indicates whether a repair is probably the landlord's responsibility and drafts the repair request. - Booking for a parent or relative: book on their behalf and share the pro's name, license and rating with the family. ## Services - Home repair: plumbing leaks, clogs and toilets; outlets and breakers; boilers and radiators; AC and mini-splits; water heaters; walls and ceilings; roof and brick; basements. - Level Haul (store-to-home delivery): car or SUV from $39 plus $1.50 per mile; cargo van from $69 plus $2 per mile; pickup truck from $79 plus $2 per mile; box truck from $149 plus $3 per mile. - Assembly (flat-pack furniture, priced per piece): small $45; medium $95; large $150; extra large $240; wall mounting $75. ## Pricing For homeowners and renters: - Getting a price is free. - Service and protection fee per booked job: 5%, maximum $49. - Level Plus (optional): $6.99 per month or $59 per year. - Quote second opinion for non-members: $9.99.
